i keep finding myself in the strangest of places these days: sentosa on sunday, and fort canning park on tuesday. yay for spontaneity, for awesome friends to hang out with, for finding joy in little things.
on a random note,
the new nanos are gorgeous.
as for options,
the first day of options today (for me, at least) was draining, especially since i totally did not realise there was china studies today (!!). but i do think the next 5-6 weeks are going to be all sorts of EXCITING. we're covering a lot of stuff for china studies, but parts of it are rather interesting. jan and i are official CHINDIANS, lol :D
meanwhile, bio today was really good as well. it made me think a lot and i'm so glad i got this as my science option, rather than something dreary like *cough*physics*cough*. i have to say i really do love astronomy, to sit back and marvel at the billions of galaxies in this universe and to realise how small and inconsequential we really are, in the grand scheme of things. for me, seeing all the stars and planets and moons strewn across the sky like that just demonstrates the existence of a Creator, an amazing and divine God. a God who is bigger and far more wonderful than all these things, but who is able to love me all the same (:
prior to all the cool astronomy stuff there was this discussion during class on what nature truly is, which got me pondering about human nature, and, subsequently, the nature of God. truthfully i got stuck for a while, but then i remembered exodus 3:14:
God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM."
:)
i am also psyched for the mythology class, it's going to be tremendously fun!! *SQUEALS*
currently i'm loving i will show you love by kendall payne, it has lovely lyrics and a beautiful melody as well ♥
i am on your side
though the wind and waves beat against your faith
you were on my mind when the world was made
trust in me, my child
