the holidays have been passing by in this really quick blur - much like how the rest of the year has, to be honest. i can't believe how much time has passed since my last post; this place is seriously stagnant. to fill up the gaps between the months, i've graduated (i feel old already!), and completed my Chinese O's (no more studying Chinese! that'd mean that my dream on the night before the Os was prophetic!!

haha i borrowed the book we did for last year's book day because i thought i hadn't read it, but i actually did. still, it's a good book! never let me go, by kazuo ishiguro. and i borrowed my life as a fake, by peter carey, which was kind of cool. there were all sorts of frankenstein allusions ;) i don't really like the title, though! but the book is kind of funny because part of it is set in malaysia and the author throws in random lahs and broken singlish phrases ;)

KERMIT-LIKE?!! OH NO YOU DIDNTTT

it's break the ice, vooman :)

IT'S BEEN A WHILE BUT IM GLAD YOU CAME

hello; friend? :D

middlesex, is, uh, the sex. it is so awesome. have you read Water For Elephants, by Sara Gruen? it was started during NanoWrimo! 500,000 words in one month + editing = awesome book. it's quite similar to middlesex... in my opinion, at least. very historic~~ kind of feel.

it's about a love story in a travelling circus!! between an elephant rider/acrobat and the animal... caregiver. and like the elephant rider is with this super insane fierce tiger trainer or something and then it is liek scary and forbidden. and it's told from like weird little flashbacks because the man is old already and he's telling the story of when he was young. it's really good :D
