we went home to chicago for a quick long weekend. partied with some friends, ate some great food, hung with some family, and relaxed on the beach near michigan city where my mom has a lakehouse. here's some pics
maybe i should take the time to admin the community a little bit. i haven't really done it in many years and just kind of let it go its course. same with my other community found_objects, although i did take on some co-admins to help maintain over there.
i will go in at some point and reiterate that pics over 500 px should be cut, and also mention that disabling comments is counter productive to the community's purpose. other than that, i would consider taking on a co-admin to kind of monitor the community more than i do. if you are interested in that job, you can have it. ;)
I'd like to ask your permission to help mod the found_objects community.
I've been a member for a while now, and the community is EXTREMELY interesting to me. The 'lost' object 'found' by another person...The mystery of it's former life. Who did it belong to? What did they do with it? Why is it where I found it?
However, lately, I've been seeing a serious decline in the quality of posts. Lately, it seems that anything you see, including flying Bacardi ads, bras laid out on a bed and cloud formations are all 'found' objects.
I'd just like to keep the quality of the community up and enforce the rules that are posted on the info page.
If you're not iterested in another mod, no problem. Otherwise, I'd love to make this community shine by doing a little weed whacking.
