Finally, reluctantly, he lets her go and looks her in the eye, closing the door behind her. "I'm guessing you're here over the Isard thing?" Corran's own concern for his ex-partner flashes across his face as he guides her over to the sitting area, waving at a chair while he flops down on the nearby sofa.

She pulls an immediately face at herself. "That's no kind of a question to ask you, I know, but-- I don't know quite how else to ask it, Corran. Are you?" Worry rolls off her in waves.

He runs a hand through his hair. "Honestly? I don't know. I know what my intentions were, and I know they were right. But..." His voice trails off, and he stares into space for a moment, before returning to the moment. "Iella, everything just seems... tainted since she came in that door. Friendships, words... hell, something even seemed wrong with the caf today." He shakes his head, frustration rising in his voice. He catches himself, takes a deep breath, and breathes out much of the tension before shaking his head again and looking at the ground.
