Custom Elizabethan Corsets...

*waves* First time poster here, and a new corsetter besides.

After a lifetime of apparel and costuming work, I finally got up the guts to try my hand at corsetry, an equally daunting and attractive field to me.

I made my first corset, an Elizabethan underwear overbust, in cream muslin lining and off-white linen outside, and boned it with hemp, three strands to each channel. The result was deemed the most comfortable corset she'd ever worn by the woman for whom I constructed it. She's experienced in costuming and corsetry, and attends several Ren-faires per year - and she'll be acting as queen at the Pittsburgh Renfaire this coming August/September. My point is? She knows comfortable.

The photos I have of my work are just of this corset, which didn't get bias tape on its edges due to my customer wanting to put on her own custom tape, herself. This was just her choice - I'm more than capable of every step necessary to make a completed corset.

So I'm offering for custom construction and sale a hemp-boned Edwardian undergarment or overgarment overbust corset. I can create it to lace in the front or in the back, with optional laces on the side panels, as well. Or the side panels can be sewn solid. Shoulder straps will be adjustable with ties, rather than being sewn in on both ends. I will hand-sew the eyelets instead of using grommets; I don't like at all how they behaved when I used them before.

I will make you a historically-accurate corset if you need it for Renfaire or other historical needs. Or I'll work with you to discuss design and doll it up just the way you want it.

Pricing to be determined on a one-on-one basis, depending on what you want me to do. An underwear corset would be considerably less expensive than a dressy corset. And as I'm new and yet to prove that I'm as good as I claim, any corset I make you would be less expensive than the other more experienced corsetiers who post here. Turnaround time would be two to three weeks per corset; first come first served.

Make me an offer!
