Spiral and Flat steel aren't too bad... you need to buy tinsnips and some plasti-dip though. Tin snips are easy to find at junk/used tool stores for VERY VERY cheap. New ones... are like $20-$30. If you know someone with a REALLY GOOD tool box, they might have them. A hacksaw would work for flat steel (but you'd need to file it, too. Honestly.. you'd have to file after tinsnips, too.) but not spiral steel. Plasti-dip can be found at most hardware stores... a wee can will be MORE THAN YOU WILL EVER USE unless you go on a plasti-dip binge and also plastic-coat all the grips on your hand tools, eye glass earpieces, plastic cups, chair legs, random rocks from the backyard, your stapler, your silverware and your cat, too ( ... )

My dad has tin snips so i think i'll go raid his tool-kit til i can find some cheap ones at a second hand store or at the car-boot sales (I am UK based so i think that tends to be where we find 2nd hand tools.) Your'e funny but the joke has left me wanting to plastidip all kinds of things haha!

I'm so glad i left my lacing in my mock up after photoing and drawing on it, i'll stick it on and sit in it for a good half hour and see how i feel. That's great advice. Especially to make sure eating and expenditure is factored in, there's surely going to be times where i want to both wear my corset and not starve myself. What is your experience with this particularly? My hips and lower stomach like anyone's are probably on the squishier side of things, though my band under-bust and ribs maybe not as much i can grab there. Might try doing some cleaning for the bending and stretching in it and see how i feel, not as exciting but it's something! :D
