Contrary assymetric corset

Hello all! I have scoliosis and practice tight lacing with a symmetric corset. My waist is getting more assymetric because one side of it puts less resistence then the other. I was figuring if using a contrary assymetric corset would fix this. I'm not trying to fix the curvature of my spine, I know it does'nt work like that, I would just like the ( Read more... )

This is SUCH a good question!!!

Off the top of my head I don't know anything about it... but I'll hunt around for you. I can totally see that maybe supporting one side more might help you be more comfortable and perhaps assist with your body as it progresses with this challenge.

I could definitely picture that perhaps a corset that is more boned on the side that needs more support and could benefit from added resistance may have some benefit for you and your body.

I'm going to be thinking about this and try to get back to you about what I find, ok?

Thank you for your answer! I am doing some research too, if I find anything I'll be posting here. So far all I could find was assymetric corsets that follow the spine curvature, like this one: https://www.instagram.com/p/CJ1MCdfg4e8/

Hmm. I know Bernadette Banner, on Youtube, has scoliosis, and she's made several videos about how she had to wear a corset for it. I'm not sure if she's done any videos on making a corset for a curved spine, but it might be worth looking into?
