6) Why did you choose engineering? Your natural abilities, a genuine interest, its prestige, or the money typically associated with it?

I sort of fell into engineering, as I was told it was a good area for someone who was good at math and science. (I was good at English and history, too, but I didn't like them as much.) At the time, I didn't even know what engineering was. In fact, I still have only a vague idea. Fortunately, I stumbled across the niche of acoustics, which is a genuine interest. I don't know if there is actual prestige, but I sure do hope they pay me a lot of money.
