So basically, the government should not fund Catholic Schools, the way it used to be when we were growing up. Then they can teach whatever they want.

Gosh, when it comes to religion, it's always such a big mess.

While I was in school, they taught us about catholic stuff but I do not follow any of it right now. I went to a baptism last week and I felt like we were all lying to ourselves cuz nobody in the family practice that religion, so what's the point. Ultimately it's the parents decision I guess but I still feel uneasy about it all.

I hope that one day we no longer have a Catholic School board in this province. The existence of the board annoys me to no end, especially given that I can not work in that board, despite having the same qualifications as everyone else, simply because I am not Catholic.

I would love to take a poll of all the teachers/staff in the Catholic board to see how many of them are actual practicing Catholics. Not many of them are, my husband included. In the almost 4 years that I have met him I have never seen him go to church. I find that many Catholics actually disagree with many of the things that the Catholic Church preaches, especially when it comes to homosexuality and birth control. The Catholic High schools are a freakin joke. No one even takes masses seriously, half the kids are on their cell phones from what Paul told me. I taught a bunch of students from the Catholic board in the summer and almost none of them actually went to church, other than holidays.

Paul wants our son/daughter to be baptized....yay?
