I've had the last scene, between Draco and Harry, written for months, and it feels good to finally fit in into the story where it belongs. But I wasn't at all sure about the Dumbledore scene and how well the portent worked.
Oh, you SO made my day, you really did with this. It was just perfectly done and exactly the right tone of epic (and beyond) that I'd been waiting for with this arc. Brilliant beautiful stuff.
OMG!! I totally love ya for putting this up!! *hugs & kisses*
I love the Epilgue. The amount of tension was so real, it was almost tangible! My heart went out to Harry as he waited for Draco in the Gryffindor Room. And the end just had me in tears T_T
Thank you, thank you, Mon! I'm so glad you liked it! I feel about twenty years younger tonight for having finally finished the story. And I'm deleriously happy that you liked it!
How can I not like it?? To tell you the truth, I've been eagerly awaiting this for the last year or so (^_^) But now you've got me all excited for the sequel...and I totally like how you made Draco a central figure! I don't think he should always be in Harry's shadow & you have just achieved the right balance between the two (^_~)
And I'm really happy 'cause now I can post the two finished parts of the trilogy? quadrilogy? on my LJ!!
Thanks again for sharing & also giving me permission to post this up on my LJ.
love, love, love the first two pieces in your epic (and am thoroughly impressed by your dedication and persistance). nice wrap up. you managed to tie the loose ends up a bit, but still leave the ends hanging out to lead to the next. poor draco. poor harry. poor dumbledore.
you have an amazing way with words. if i were to quote everything, we'd both be forever, so i'll just take a few of the lines i adore:
"I'm trying, you insufferable git! It doesn't fly into my palm. It flies into my fingers, then it wriggles like a two-Sickle whore and flies out again!"
...didn't know that the need to feel those arms around him sat like molten lead in his stomach...
But in the endless silence, his heart quietly came unstuck.
love your snarky!snape and tired!dumbledore really wonderful.
okay, it is obviously the middle of the night for me to post review that is quite so incoherent. i am usually far more articulate. sorry for the disjointed nature of the above, but hopefully you get the gist.
and read afterwards what you said to frogslayr about not being sure about the dumbledore scene. i think that scene works extremely well. i almost quoted several lines from it and realised i'd make the comment too big because i wanted to quote the entire section. i loved the feel you conveyed. you made him wise and human and worried and hopeful.

Hello Dinah,
I'm glad you enjoyed the fics! I am working on the third part of the series, but I haven't started posting it yet. When I do, I'll put a notice here in my lj.
