i have been loving the western tanagers with their bright yellow plumage and red heads nesting in the trees outside the windows at work.

i have been inhaling deeply the sweet smelling breezes when i leave for the day.

ah... Spring....

There have been western tanagers in our yard too. Such striking colors!

that is what really struck me. they stand out from the sparrows.

i hadn't seen them before when living in california. so beautiful!
