Since it was written, I had to post it. But I am cheating because I know no one ever reads this but rather the live feed of my blogger account. So maybe I can get away with not having to do much here

You should write a play because you're a good, funny writer.
2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you.
Dream Come True. That was too easy.
3. I'll pick a flavor of jello to wrestle with you in.
Chocolate.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me.
Let's roll the dice.
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
You were sitting on the couch at Bonsai Oaks with a script in your hand. It wasn't love at fight sight, but I was definitely interested in getting to know you better.
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
A dog.
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
I can't think of anything I don't know that I've always wondered. I've known you pretty well for thirteen years now.
as for what I like best about David? oh, wow. so many things to choose from, but I think it's creativity. he has more great ideas before 8:00 a.m. while he's still asleep than some people have their entire lives.
I've had a fascinating few years, wonderful and terrible in equal measure. Most of fortune's writings can be traced back to human causes, whether my actions or someone else's, so I have to disqualify those as luck. The rest are all things that happen to everyone. They just happened to me in rapid sequence. All of you out there will lose jobs, fall in love, see your parents die, make fascinating friends, and so on and so on. The one really big piece of luck for me was Deidre ending up available and in Iowa.
Now I'm really curious why you ask that particular question -- I can't decide if people see me as lucky, unlucky, or just overly melodramatic about the things that happen to me.
I don't think of you as more lucky than anyone else. I think everyone has a certain amount of luck in their lives - which I suppose is what you're saying as well, just not using the word luck. I was curious to know how much of an effect you think random chance has had in your life.
We have this mantra in my family - things always work out for Faldutos. And it's true. But that's not luck - it's because we believe it's true. Faith (and I'm not talking about religion) is a very powerful attribute.

I think it was in the audience of a West Side Players show. Damn, I can't really remember. Haven't you just always been around?

An owl on speed.
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.
When you're explaining some really obscure bit of history, do you ever extrapolate information based on the facts that you know for certain?
Reply
I never extrapolate for history.
This is something, however, that I am guilty of from time to time. I try to point out when I'm extrapolating.

add my name to that list, you slacker!

Thanks for all your hard work at Dreamwell over the years. It meant a lot to me.

I am not good at this one. Can I pick a book series instead? If so, I pick Amber.
3. I'll pick a flavor of jello to wrestle with you in.
Um. Green.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me.
I am glad you came back in the drafty cabin.
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
It was at a River Valley Writers thing. You were sitting next to David and had really short hair.
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
Ooh. That one animal from Lion King. The little guy. What is he?
7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.

I like your wackiness because it's tempered by reality.

A Devo song. I hate picking songs for people because I stink at it.
3. I'll pick a flavor of jello to wrestle with you in.
Purple.
4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me.
The tree one was pretty good. Hmm. I am sure there is something about Azael and all of that, but my mind is blanking right now.
5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you.
When you did the firebug monologue during Spoon River Anthology. That was really well done and one of the high points of the show.
6. I'll tell you what animal you remind me of.
A turtle.

Do you consider yourself a lucky person? Why or why not?
