The thing I like about lj is fallowing people. I am more likely to read the blog posts that way.

I haven't used WordPress, personally--my craft blog is on Blogger, as you know. However, I do have an LJ that I use as my personal blog (mostly to keep up with friends, since I know several people in RL who are also on LJ.) Actually, the pros you mentioned are exactly why I chose to set it up the way I did--I wanted the privacy on my personal journal (like the friends-locking and such), and the ability to reach a wider audience with my craft one

It is easier for a commenter in Wordpress, but I am pretty ignorant about any of the other differences.
