Today I was sitting in the back with my suitcase, and he got on with another girl. The two of them sat in the seat I usually sit in sans suitcase. During the first five minutes of their bus ride, I noticed Eric kept looking back at me. Multiple times. When I noticed it, I smiled again. I think he might have thought I sat there to try to talk to him... It had an air of a middle-school romance gone kaput and now he's moved on. Obviously on a school bus in this middle-school scenario. After the bus got under way he stopped looking back at me, and proceeded to have a much more lively and entertaining conversation with The New Girl than he ever had with me. It made me happier, actually, because I've noticed her at my downtown stop before and was always intrigued because her handbag is made by the same person who made my wallet. So she must be awesome, right?

You are ridiculous.
