Inside was the deed to the beach house, now solely in Cory's name. There was also the record of an account, also sent to Hsu financial, and a letter:
I don't know why you left. I thought forever really meant forever. But I don't blame you. The house is yours. The things in the basement made it a part of your past. The account is for you to use for your orphanages and for you....whatever you need.
Life goes on. For you it will, anyway. For me it ends, here.
But I want you to know that I don't blame you. I was always pretty damn shocked that you ever loved me, in the first place.
