Shuffle the deck, or just give us all aces...please

I am just home from Gouger Street Freak Circus, and it nears six in the morning. Now strangely strikes me as a good time to write about two individuals of my acquaintance. I choose not to name them but they did not accompany me to a gay sauna, which lately seems to be a fashionable reason not to name people who feature in journal entries, if my ( Read more... )

I know, you meet some sad cases out out Mars. I was going to go last night to see the show, after seeing a show at the Queen's Arms, but I got tired.

I so would! How are you finding it here now, esp. after you went back to Sydney for a visit before? I'm sure you must miss the bright lights after all, Adelaide doesn't have much on the cards.

Yeah, little Adelaide seemed a bit quiet after a weekend in Sydney...but you soon get used to that, as well as the lack of traffic.

Babe, I'm always amazed at the complexity of the linguistic nature of your writing style. It's so rare for an engineer, and often confuses me as to whether you have really been studying a B.A. on the side.
One thing I must ask... and I must be blunt here... is your journal an exercise in writing ability or a conversational discussion of ideas? Sometimes I am confused... I am always impressed by your witty ironies and unique style, but being a simple-minded logical engineer, I often have troubles understanding exactly what point you are trying to make in your entries. I have to admit, I had to look up the word "vicissitudes" in the dictionary. I only mention this after reading the last few lines of your discussion... feel free to call me a simple-minded boffin if you wish...

Hey. You are a great writter I love reading your entries Simon. It is good to hear you are making friends down there. Dispondency regarding the scene is normal...the freak circus can be found in any major city.

Perhaps gay engineers are able to express themselves easily, and straight ones are just complete dolts when it comes to the intricacies of the English language. Or not. Who knows. Arts students tend to remble a lot and not make much sense while thinking they do. God knows I'm like that ( ... )

Not too sure how I found you but, looking at your userinfo, I notice that spaced_in is on your "friend of" list. He's one of my friends from Sydney so- well I don't know, but the degrees of separation are shrinking aren't they? Oh, and I probably noticed that you're from Perth. I used to live there. Nice.
