As always, your descriptions are absolutely GORGEOUS. I was going to quote back the first two sentences at you as an example of your awesome description-ness, but the whole first two paragraphs are equally beautiful. All the descriptions of sad!America, with red eyes and tear tracks were so especially vivid. I just wanted to give America a giant hug and reassure him that he's still everybody's favorite hero.
“I tried so hard… England. Tried to be a hero and…” God. That line. It was so America that it brought tears to my eyes. I think that's the point where my heart officially broke into a million pieces.
Also, viva La Résistance!<333

I find it really very endearing that England is determined to stay awake until America arrives - it tells a lot about how much he cares for America, wanting to stay awake the whole night if needed to. And England even sings to keep himself from falling asleep - that's so cute, seriously, and truly a good way to keep yourself from falling asleep, haha.
The whir of the plane’s propeller and the steam engines that powered were noisy as it landed, and England’s coat billowed backward in the wind created by America’s descent.I don't know if I've said it enough many times, but I really, REALLY love the way you describe everything, like in that scene I can imagine SO WELL how exactly England's coat "billowed backward in the wind" *u* I just, it gives me chills and at times I feel like I'm watching this fic instead of reading it. Love it ( ... )
