And you get Ganymede as a boy toy...

But, it would be so awesome to rule Jupiter - you could sell gravity to passing spaceships, you could sell hydrocarbons to passing spaceships, you could sell real estate from the moons to people who can't pay for gravity or fuel, the list goes on and on....

Mercury has nothing to worry about from Jupiter, I will be too busy just keepin' my moons in line. Besides you're too far away and you're albedo is so high I would be blinded just trying to invade.
