Summary: This is how he makes you feel.
Gravel, sandpaper, broken glass. Dragging your heart across the debris and tearing it up from inside out. This is how he makes you feel. Drinking your tea without letting it cool - the way it scalds its path down your esophagus. He lights your flesh on fire and he burns you alive. You have never felt more alive.
You think of him in fragments. Rough hands and evening stubble. Brows furrowed in concentration. The dip in his cheeks when he talks like he knows, and you wish and you wish and you want.
You think of him as sunrise, as midnight, as dark and as warm, and you don't understand. He is confident, he is evasive. An enigma, an infinity loop, and you're running in circles trying to figure him out. You're running and running and running - dry tongue, sweaty palms, and aching lungs. Your heart beats itself out of time as it threatens you to stop. The feeling never really stops.
