This is from the annotated first edition of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone auctioned off a few days ago at Sotheby.

Mr. Grumpy Pants & company sold for $227,000. Quite an extraordinary amount! All money goes to English PEN, by the way.

Here were some of the details:

The 1997 book, featuring handwritten notes, 22 original illustrations and a 43-page “second thoughts” commentary by the author, fetched the highest price to date for a printed book by Rowling,

I think the single image of Snape was the only illustration released to the public. I remember a similar book being auctioned off around eight years ago. . . never heard about it again. ;)
