Well, things certainly had been a fuss lately. The fleets from Earth had finally found the dry, dusty planet that humanity had somehow made a life on after so many years, so obviously everyone was happy about that. Ships were on the way to connect Gunsmoke to the rest of the Space Federation, which meant supplies and resources that, despite the ( Read more... )

Truth be told, Meryl half expected the rumors to be true and that bounty-hunters would start coming in droves fairly soon. She sighed and looked at her friend from the chair by the lone desk in the room, "If the rumors are true, and I'm not saying they are, but hypothetically speaking, we're certainly going to have our work cut out for us. But there's little else we can do aside from what we've done for the past few months, namely keeping an eye on him and hoping that he won't attract any trouble." She frowned, now deep in thought.

She sighed again, "I just wish that they'd never put the dumb bounty on his head in the first place. We had enough trouble with it in the beginning, I'm not looking forward to having the possibility of dealing with it again."

Meryl just kinda sits there and broods for a minute or two before continuing. "Yes, it would, but no one really knows the Vash we do, they all just seem to cower once they hear his name...except that priest, whoever he is. God, if there's one person we could use the help from right now it's him," she says sighing again and slumping in her chair.

Milly pouted as well. "I wonder where he could be. I don't think there's a lot of priests like him wandering around."

Milly blinks, and you can almost see the lightbulb go off. "Do you think Bernardelli would send some help if we asked?"
