Humans had always been a marvel to him. It had started with Rem of course, each one of her words putting Vash more and more in awe of her. The girls had been searching the city for their charge for quite some time by the time Milly spotted the red-coated gunman (honestly, with his height and get-up, you'd think he'd be easier to find). "Oh! I found him, sempai!" Milly waved her arms energetically to catch Vash's attention. "Mr. Vash! Mr. Vash, over here!"

Vash flinched at the sound of Milly calling his name. He turned his head slowly, as if that would be enough to keep it from being who he already knew it was.

"Hey there." Vash laughed nervously along with his greeting. So they'd found him again. The odds were in their favor really, since they always did. The big girl has some scary instincts. He felt a trickle of sweat slide along his jaw before lifting a gloved hand to wipe it away. "Sure is hot today. You two better find some shade and something cold to drink...well, see ya!"

Yeah, like it's gonna be that easy.

The 'see ya' was not lost upon Meryl, who'd arrived shortly after Milly had called her over. "And where do you think you're going, buster?" she said hotly in an attempt to stop another Vash-run (TM). "We've still got to keep an eye on you whether you like it or not and with the rumors about the returning bounty, we really have to keep you under surveilance so as not to attract any attention." You could literally see the vein that was threatening to pop out of her forehead.

Milly, on the other hand, looked slightly apologetic. She knew Vash didn't particularly like having them around, but they did have a job to do; they couldn't very well let him loose again with all the trouble the poor man seemed to attract, especially now!
