You ask why some don't want to give GM money...

Why you ask? Because, where does it stop if you do this? Why isn't GE then deserving? And then Target? And then - exactly. Where does it end? When does the money run out? Will the American Dollar become worthless, sending our economy into a much bigger dive?
Plus, GM is terribly run and giving them a ton of money isn't going to stop them from being terribly run. So, how much of the American People's money should be thrown away here?
Frankly, until the Boards and Top Execs at companies like these are removed, how can there be a point into throwing more money down the drain? Have you even looked at how many millions these guys take home for doing a terrible, terrible job?
Yeah, it's depressing. Yes, it does appear to be a LOSE/LOSE situation. This is what you get from Excessive Corporate Greed.

"Really, you're an expert on how well or not well run GM is?"
An expert? Or course not. But I suspect I'm more knowledgeable than you are on this particular subject. But hey, I could be wrong. If you want to follow this, in an amusing way, read TTAC - here's their latest: http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/bailout-watch-221-mitt-mauls-motown/
I thought Mitt Romney was quite on target (amazing for a Republican!) in today's Op-Ed in the NY Times.

Jack: Why do you read, and more to the point, post in my blog when you always seem to blindly fight me? You always just pop up with your anonymous posts and say things like "I suspect I'm more knowledgeable than you are on this particular subject" and then don't back the statement up with anything. I suspect that's a misguided and cowardly thing to do. Don't like what I have to say? Move along to another blog. There are millions

So punish them for their bad judgment, eh Jack? Mm. Coulda shoulda woulda. You can apply everything you just said to the financial quarters that received this last bailout. But that's done, and so is the last 25 years of the auto industry. Yes they've acted poorly, yes they've been greedy, and everything else one can criticize their industry for. Ok, so what? Screw em? To hell with our domestic industry and manufacturing? They've been bad, let them suffer for it? I don't think so. We have to work the problem not the blame

i don't even know what's going on anymore because it's all so worrisome when everyone i know is worried every single day about losing their jobs and then i read an article saying that the unemployment rate in michigan is now 9.6% and i am actually seriously upset right now because i don't know what's going to happen to me after i graduate :/ :/ :/

If Sara and I weren't completely locked down by this house and the need for help from our families with the baby, we'd have already left.
