Off hand, I would say, find yourself another dance partner so you can at least enjoy the dancing too. After all if your partner can find someone else to dance with, why can't you too?

I'd say stick to your guns and tell her the whole point was to be together and she needs to be more patient until you catch up to her level or... say f*ck it and stay home and do something you really wanna do that's what I do when Elz feels the need to be out with his drinking buddies.

I think it might make her feel special to be "advanced". Why dont you make a deal with her. She can go to the big parties and dance with other people... but the lessons she has to help you improve.

Find something else the two of you can do together and maybe the dancing will go down to one night.
