On November 24, 1971, a man calling himself Dan Cooper boarded a Boeing 727, Northwest Airlines, Flight 305 at Portland Oregon bound for Seattle Washington. Anyone could open any other emergency door on a pland and jump out. I don't think they even put tail staircases in planes anymore. Gone are the days of disembarking by walking across the tarmac to the airport lounges.
