Best Cat Ever

Last night Sam and I experienced something no one should ever have to deal with. I heard a noise from the other room and asked Sam what the noise was. She didn't realize there was a noise going on so I got up to examine further and then we both realized that our beautiful, loving, loyal cat Gus was choking to death on our kitchen floor. I tried

Eric, I'm so incredibly sorry you (and Sam) had to experience that first hand. It's never easy to lose a pet, but to watch it happen before your eyes and that feeling of helplessness.

And "I'm sorry" never feels like enough. :( :(
