Not in Oregon

I was supposed to be in Norwood in my pj's but thanks to weather and sickness, am at home in my pj's.

Sam's sick too so it's almost good that she didn't have to fly.

Yeah, it's actually pretty easy on Ancestry.com but you have to learn to ignore some of the hints they give you because they are just WRONG.

My Christmas is cancelled due to a foot of snow and a lack of plows. Washington and Oregon get a big F for dealing with snow. It snows every year, but there's, like, five plows between the two states.

Currently, I've said "Fuck you, Portland" about five times a day. I'm so incredibly disappointed. It's so ridiculous--an airport should be prepared for all of this whether or not the city is. We had a foot of snow and it was still snowing on Saturday, and flights were still coming in and out of Boston.

Yeah, I'm disappointed. And sad.

that's really sucky. i watched some crazy video of people in portland whose cars were bumping into each other because of the icy conditions. Not pretty.

Yup, I agree with the person above me... We get a big fat F. You'd think they'd know how to deal with this shit by now. It's not like we don't get snow almost every winter. Morons!

Hope you guys have an awesome Christmas anyway!

I briefly contemplated making plans to go to my homeland because I know they can handle snow, but then I saw it's -20 degrees today and said FUCK THAT.

We hope to have fun here anyway.

Ugh, that sucks. :(

I know the other side of town isn't Oregon, but you are welcome to come to our house for dinner on Christmas Eve if you'd like.

I'm going to Gatesville TX for Christmas. I'd prefer a rectal exam.
