I've been having sleeping issues this week, as well. Hmmm...Hope your napping happens soon!

I actually managed to nap a little bit, during the two episodes of "Angel" TNT showed this morning.

Hmm... when I was staying at my brother's and having a bad night of things, I ended up finally being able to doze off during "Angel." Maybe there's something comforting about the show or... something.

Oh, that's too funny! I can fall asleep during Battlestar Galactica. Weird, huh!

Naps are awesome. Even the long ones that make days and nights all screwy. :)

I've got Knitty Gritty's repeats on HGTV set as a series recording, for the same reason. Even the episodes all about novelty yarn can offer some interesting technique or creation. Though I always find it amusing that she seems to never wear hand knit stuff on the show. hehe

You get "Knitty Gritty" on HGTV? *jealous* I've checked our listings, and it's only the DIY Network, which sucks, 'cause I don't have digital cable in my room, and the TiVo only records the non-digital channels, so... it's 5AM viewings or nothing.

While some of their projects are, well... not my style, shall we say, it's always good to just see people knit, to keep you in that knitting place. Plus, it was an episode of "Knitty Gritty" where I first saw someone do a cable, and I was all, "I can totally do that, no problem." I ended up making (a variation of) the afghan pattern featured on that episode, too.

(Plus, I always equate that particular episode to the movie Johnny Belinda because I worked on the first square for the afghan the first time I watched the movie, and that movie got me watching the Dr. Kildare movies, which led me to record Fingers at the Window, which sealed the deal, so to speak, with my Lew Ayres obsession, so... yay, knitting and "Knitty Gritty"!)

Mhmm. They air it every Friday morning, 6:30-7:00. Weird that the HGTV schedule is different for other areas. Call and complain! lol

Tomorrow's episode is called "Happy Hour Knits." Yeah... totally with you on their projects not really being 'my style', but I agree - seeing people knit is great, plus who knows what you can manage to glean from even the craziest of patterns.

An afghan! Do you have pictures? I'm so ready to start my own afghan now that I've tackled a sweater. heh In fact, I've been lusting after this one since I first laid eyes on it. Surprising that it's all just garter stitch.

(Hehe It's always interesting how those little connections stick into your brain. It's true, though, you knit a little bit of yourself and your experiences into each knitted piece.)
