There is a kind of cheesy mainstream movie about a woman surfer, Blue Crush or something. She does that, it's pretty amazing and makes it seem like a thing people can do. The prettiest thing.

It's a real thing surfers do (usually only professionals I think) to get accustomed to holding their breath for very long periods of time.

Some magician did it once too.
