its like when you drop the cap of a marker behind a big heavy dresser,

you don't want to go through the process of moving the dresser and reaching to get the cap,

but you know you have to

otherwise your marker will dry up and eventually be unusable

i had been searching for a metaphor for that kind of problem, cuz i knew a few people that were going through it

and then i ALMOST dropped my cap to my marker behind my desk and BAM! lj posted it immediately

in this case, i actually almost dropped the cap of a marker behind my desk again(literally) and then the metaphor or simile(whichever one this applies to) just hit me

If it were up to me, I'd throw the marker behind the dresser and take my chances and see if the marker lands into the cap, that way the marker will not dry up, but you don't have to go through the dresser moving part.
