About 3 years ago I started my education at St.Joost (which is a part of Avans University).
The first year I studied Illustration but around 3/4th of my 2nd year I switched my major to Animation.
However because I messed up so badly the last few months (after getting a burn-out because of a team-project)...Yesterday the dean and my school counselor reccomended I switch back to Illustration. I'm actually really looking forward to this since I won't be studying it in the same location as I did before (the institute in Den Bosch has a high focus on the Fine Arts) but I'll be staying in Breda (which allows for more figurative work). Of course I'm also nervous about being in a new class but I think a fresh start will do me good.
Honestly I was kind of dreading about going back to Animation, fearing things would turn out the same as they did before. So my counselor made the right call I think. HE IS A REALLY NICE GUY.
Back in 1989 he made this stop-motion animation ABOUT A BANANA THAT LOST ITS SKIN.

My dean is also a really cool lady. Ah, so today I attended a meeting with my new class which was to discuss the 3rd year Minor and they all seem like really nice people. When I switched to Animation it felt like I was carrying a large amount of baggage and I feel like I can finally let go of that.
Also my new trolley/backpack combo came in the mail today.
IT CAN TRANSFORM. FYI, I'm 1.63 so I'm looking forward to looking like a complete midget LOL
