New costume stuff! ^_^
Ah, so here is another weekend! I'm starting to really like this weekend thing ^_~ This start to the weekend has been super great ^_^
My mom and I have both been so busy we haven't spent a lot of quality mother daughter bonding time together, so while my brothers and dad were away this weekend we had a girl's night out tonight! ^_^ We got all dressed up (I even had a lady in the store tell me I looked like a movie star 0_o AHHHH talk about a super nice person ^_^ It completely made my day ^_^ I have been so busy I haven't felt that pretty lately ^-^' Hurray for nice people ^_^) Mom and I went shopping a little ^_^ Nothing too grand. Just the book store and of course the craft store because my mom and I are really into crafts. The craft store is a great place to look for stuff for costumes ^_^ Then we went out to dinner and stopped by a really cute little Fresh Market we have in town. It has all those weird foods that I have no clue what they are ^_^' but the bakery section is amazing! I bought cookies! ^_^ What is with me and cookies? For some reason I think they are one of the best desserts ever! ^_^ After that we just spent the rest of evening relaxing and me watching stuff that I had recorded while I was in school this week. Yep, I record my favorite TV shows during the week while I am school then I get to watch them on the weekend ^_^
So today was my fun day with very little school work accomplished ^_^ After work and then going out with mom there wasn't a lot of time for school homework 0_o I did however ^_^ manage to get two book reviews finished for my class on kids books. ^_^ It is fun getting to read and write what I think about 50 children's books but wow it takes so much time ^-^'
Although, I highly recommend Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for people of all ages ^_^ Excellent book! I think it has been my favorite read so far... Well... If You Give a Mouse a Cookie was fun but maybe it is best for young kids ^-^' I think I enjoyed it way to much ^_~ Oh! No wait! ^_^ There was one book I want to buy just because I laughed when I read it ^_^ It was called "The Wizard, the Fairy, and the Magic Chicken" who can't want to read a book with that title?? ^_^ It is a picture book but one of the funniest ^_^ or maybe I just enjoy simple books way to much ^_^' Maybe I'm a big kid in some ways ^_^' Children's books are fun though! ^_^
As for the rest of the weekend… Ummm I hope to take Honey Bear to the park ^_^ she loves to play at the park! ^_^ Hopefully, get around to writing emails I have been wanting to write all week but I had so many papers and school stuff to turn in ~_~ but now it is the weekend ^_^ It would be nice if I could sew some more on a few costumes! ^_^ *lol* Ok, somewhere in there I need to relax a little too. I think I need a longer weekend ^_~
Onto costuming news! ^_^ I actually updated a new costume on American Cosplay Paridice! ^_^ Such a wonderful site and if you haven't been there go check it out ^_^ Maybe this weekend I can finish updating my page on there I have been much to lazy ~_~ I need to update my Cosplay Lab too ^-^'
I haven't been totally MIA when it comes to cosplay though ^_^ I have started on a new costume! I needed something fun and different from my normal. So I picked one of my favorites Miaka from Fushigi Yugi! ^_^ I still want to make her beautiful pink dress I posted a while back, but due to time I don't want to start on it at the moment. I just finished the first part today! ^_^ *excited* I really like how her jacket came out it is so cute! I might try to find some black fabric and make one of these for me to wear with normal clothes ^_^ It is late but I put it on and snapped a quick photo ^-^' I really should have tired to take a better photo but the jacket shows ^_^ I will take good photos when I finish the costume ^_^'
Ok, *yawn* I'm not a night person so anything near midnight is late to me ^_~ *huggles* I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!! ^_^
