Oh Jade...

Oh Jade, my beloved of five years, I miss you so much. Time and space have pushed us further and further apart. Once, long ago, I thought you lost  to another man. He was honorable, kind, and Eddisian. Perhaps you would have been happy. But you came back to me, a lowly soldier in the King of Attolia's Guard. I gave thanks to gods I once did not ( Read more... )

Oh, sadness. :(

Costis, you always were a noble man. Jade deserves happiness with her same-universe boy. I know it's hard, but you are doing the right thing. Best of luck, taking care of those seven young'uns yourself.

I don't suppose you can tell exactly what you've been doing for the king?

Oh dear *hugs*. I'll send Aris to cheer you up...and babysit.

Checkers has a point though. I want to know where you've been too! Have you met Sophos?

Alas, Jade it seems, is a fickle - um, jade, which I guess makes perfect sense, doesn't it?

Perhaps, if you need help with those seven adorable little bundles of what I am sure is wild toddler energy, you could ask the King to let you borrow the Eddisian nannies? I daresay he would be absolutely thrilled to pieces to oblige. In fact, I imagine he'll laugh himself sick over it.

Toddlers, as you know, need plenty of play activity to stimulate their imagination and creativity. One very popular activity is playing in a sandbox. You might want to head to the kitchens and ask "Sandy" if she can let you have a few cubic yards of sand for your kids.

And, oh, Costis, please remain as noble and generous as your message shows you to be, and do not, under any circumstances, plan to show up at Jade's wedding in full armor, with septuplets in tow, begging her to come back to you.

On an unrelated topic, does anybody know where you can hire actors to dress up in costume and show up at - certain events?

Do you mean, for example, dress up in a manly kilt, breast plate, sandals, and a short cape? With a plumed helmet, perhaps?

Wait, wait. Doesn't the Attolia guard wear blue and gold quilted thingies? And I could be totally wrong about the plumes.
