Canon Point: Between Legion of Super-Heroes v4 #100 and Legionnaires #57.
Gender: Female

Age: 17. She joined the Legion in the fall of 2994 at age 15, and the canon point she's taken from is estimated to be around May of 2996, so she would have just recently turned 17 with the birthday I've given her.

Birthdate/Sign: No birthdate was given for her in canon, so I've chosen 4/6 to be her birthday because I believe the sign of Aries fits her mixture of compassion, brashness, and ambition.

Tattoo: About three inches square, centered right above her breasts. (It's just above the crescent moon and circle emblem on her costume.)

Suitability: Canonically, the age of majority for most of the planets that make up the United Planets is 13 Earth years old. Zoë specifically has been her mother's assistant in her archeology digs since she was 10, and joined the Legion of Super-Heroes when she was 15. As a member of the Legion, she has faced numerous dangerous and even potentially lethal situations. In one specific instance, she had to deal with being stranded on a planet for months without any other Legionnaires with her to help. So she'd definitely be able to act as an adult and provide for herself.

As far as the sexual aspect goes, she's a rather flirty and physically affectionate person, and had romantic feelings for one of her teammates prior to his death, so I doubt she'd have problems dealing with sexual things in general. She'll probably be stubborn about worshipping initially because she'll be upset about the whole being yanked some place against her will (again) thing. But she'd come around over time, particularly once she learns that going along with what the Twelve want will loosen the limits on her powers.

Power: Zoë only really has one power - telekinesis resulting from absorbing a pool of magical energy. But she can use it in a number of ways, particularly since she affect things on the microscopic level as well. She can create force fields, levitate objects, fly by levitating herself, generate light by affecting air molecules around her, reshape non-living matter, and even transmute materials as long as the resulting object the same type of thing as the original object. So she could change a cotton dress into a silk dress of a different color and style, but she couldn't change a cotton dress into a metal shovel. Canonically, she only really uses this transmutation ability when playing around with people's clothes.

As far as how much material her power can affect at once, I would say nothing larger than a small building (like a one story house of moderate size). About the strongest show of power she ever made in her canon was holding together a makeshift escape pod that was large enough to hold about a dozen people through atmospheric reentry, but that didn't appear to be really taxing her to her limits.

Obviously, her abilities are going to have to be cut back considerably, at least initially, in Zodion. My suggestion would be to leave her with a limited amount of her ability to reshape matter (but with no access to transmutation), since that was the initial basic ability she had learned how to use at the beginning of her career.

Personality: Generally, someone's first impression of Zoë would be that she's a cheerful and outgoing young woman. She is quite willing to express her thoughts, opinions, and emotions, even in situations where it would be to her benefit to keep her mouth closed. She also keeps a journal, which allows her to a way to express those thoughts and feelings she doesn't want to share with others instead of bottling them up. She finds it easy to talk to people she doesn't know, and makes friends easily.

Zoë is also a rather physically affectionate person, touching others in a friendly or comforting manner frequently. And while she's not particularly vain, she is somewhat concerned about appearances and fashion. As well, she has a tendency to use her powers to change her teammates' clothes if she doesn't think they're suitable for the current situation. She's a little bit careless about other people's boundaries, really, although she'll apologize sincerely if someone tells her she's gone too far.

Zoë tends to be fascinated by power, be it of magical or scientific origin, and anything that offers an opportunity for her to gain more power is a strong temptation for her, although she has learned from experience that not all sources of power can be used for good purposes. Having been manipulated by someone offering to help her gain power once already, she would be suspicious of the motives of anyone making a similar offer, at least initially, however. She wants to become more powerful because it would allow her to help others more, but also because having power is strongly tied to her sense of self-worth. The first time she used magic (to save her mother's life) was the first time she felt truly useful. She sees gaining more power as the route to self-perfection. When she lost her powers for a time, she was quite devastated, and determined to find a way to regain her powers or get new ones, no matter what.

As a Legionnaire, Zoë is expected to fight super-villains and face dangerous situations to help save innocent lives. During these times she usually keeps calm and level-headed, being neither excessively frightened or foolhardy. She usually has no problems following orders, although she will make suggestions or question orders that make no sense if it is appropriate to the situation. It's a good thing that she doesn't particularly want to be in charge, because she tends to concentrate on her own goals and desires without considering the larger picture.

Even though Zoë is still a teenager, she has experience with adapting to new places and dealing with unusual people; Her mother took her to many different planets while she was a child, and her teammates are quite diverse, and include a teleporting insect and an illusion-casting snake. She also handled being stranded on a strange planet away from her teammates rather well. Her friends think she's rather worldly, and she certainly isn't as naive as some of her fellow teammates.

She cares greatly for her friends, and shows concern for their physical and mental well-being. Her friends often come to her for advice, particularly about romantic matters. While she enjoys teasing her friends about their romantic feelings, the advice she gives is usually pretty good. She also cares deeply about her mother, Azra, and brother, Thanot, and they care about her as well, though she also participates in typical sibling squabbling with her brother.

Zoë is definitely closest to her teammate, Salu Digby (aka Shrinking Violet or Leviathan II) but made friends with most of the female Legionnaires pretty quickly after joining the team. She developed something of a crush on Gim Allon (aka Leviathan) as well. He returned her feelings, but they never really had a chance to develop an actual relationship before Leviathan died in the line of duty.

She doesn't get along well with people who have abrasive personalities (like Brainiac 5, the team's resident socially impaired genius, and Gates, who views everything through a Marxist political lens) and those she finds too air-headed or incompetent (like Dreamer, a narcoleptic whose dreams foretell the future). She likes needling those she dislikes with snarky commentary, and tends to make snide comments about them when they're not around as well.

✖ SAMPLES:
"Zodion" First-Person Network Entry: [The feed turns on to show a young woman with wavy red hair and green eyes giving the device in her hand an irritated look as she fiddles with it.]

Primitive piece of... There, I think it's working now.

[But her expression doesn't calm at all as she looks directly into the camera.]

All right, I'm really getting tired of just getting yanked places without being asked and being given a bunch of mysterious gibberish as instructions! I'm not the whole galaxy's sprocking errand girl!

And what's with the fetish for giving out tattoos? At least this one isn't as visible.

Anyway, if you wanted my help with something, you could have tried *asking*. I'm not an unreasonable person and as a Legionnaire I'm always up for helping out a good cause, but just up and snatching me away from what I'm doing is *not* the way to get on my good side.

Also, if you wanted my help with something, why did you slap limits on my magic? I can barely do anything now! And it's not like I didn't work hard to get those powers, you know! In any case, I'm not helping you with *anything* until I get some answers.

[And with that she angrily ends the feed.]

"Zodionlogs" Third-Person Prose Entry: She was just turning away from checking the supplies in the side pouches she usually wore on the belt of her uniform, making sure they were fully equipped for the upcoming mission, when between one blink of her eyes and the next, she was somewhere entirely different than her quarters in the Legion HQ. Her first thought was 'Not this again...!' But with Mysa's powers still affected by Mordru dealing her, she couldn't be the one behind her mysterious teleportation this time.

Looking around, she could see that she was on the grounds of some sort of temple, though not of any religion she was familiar with from her archeological studies. Close by, she could see a stone altar surrounded by a ring of water, but her attention was captured the most by the small glowing box on top of the altar. She just knew that what was inside was important, a potent magical artifact perhaps?

Curiosity hurrying her steps, it isn't long before she crosses the channel of water and feels a stinging sensation on her chest above her breasts. Stopping abruptly due to that flash of pain, she saw the water rise all around her, showing her reflection perfectly naked even though she could still feel the clothes on her body. Truth-revealing waters of some sort? How interesting. But the large tattoo on her reflection that had appeared where she'd felt that flash of pain soon drew her attention. Unzipping the top of her uniform, she could see that it was actually there - the symbol of Aries, one of Earth's Zodiac signs.

The waters lowering once she'd seen the tattoo for herself, she refastened her uniform as she stepped towards the box that had initially caught her interest. Opening it, she was rather disappointed to find nothing but a primitive communications device and a letter. Other than finding out that she'd apparently been brought here for her ambition, it didn't provide much information other than that the ones responsible were twelve powerful beings, apparently with some association to Earth's Zodiac from the symbols at the bottom of the letter.

Taking both letter and communications device with her for the moment as she left the temple to continue exploring the planet she had ended up on, she briefly wished that Legion flight rings came equipped with longer range communicators. But her teammates should notice her absence soon. Reaching out with her powers to reshape her uniform into something that would hopefully stand out less, she halted in her tracks when the fabric of her uniform barely stirred. Trying again got roughly the same result - she could reshape the fabric of her uniform a little, but it was a far cry from the effortless outfit changing she was used to.

It was at this point that it finally registered that her hair, that usually floated in an unseen breeze courtesy of an unconscious use of her powers, was falling in ordinary waves down her back. What the grife had they done to her powers?! A quick test showed that her flight ring was also just ornamental. How dare they do this to her?! Didn't the people who brought her here know how hard she'd worked to gain her powers and hone them to the levels she'd reached? Fuming, she reached for the communicator she'd been given and tried to figure out how to make the outdated technology work. Maybe if she sent out a message on it, it would reach the Twelve that were in charge of this place.
