Reason #whatever that I hate outlook: I get flashing popup reminders that say things like
Canceled: Seminar CANCELED. 11 minutes
Also, a reason I hate IE. Almost a story, really. Basically, I don't see IE as a standards compliant document viewer (ie a web browser), I see it as an application platform. You make content for IE and it goes in IE, and maybe it does neat things, but you can't put it other places. Kinda like you make video games for a Wii, and they go in a Wii and do neat things, but you can't put them in your gamecube or xbox or car CD player or tape deck.
So, while I sorta like that MS makes a new IE which is "more standards compliant" and includes a compatibility mode to run the old stuff, I wish the old stuff ran the same way in new compatibility mode as it did in the old platform. As it is, it's kinda like if you tried playing the classic NES games on the Wii and got to choose between weird simulated stereo sound or classic mono sound, but classic mono sound didn't work.
