I'm glad you enjoyed my story, papilio_luna! Someday I hope to hear from someone who has never seen 'Spirited Away' and find out how it reads from their point of view.
I did wonder about making it longer. Maybe a sequel where Jack returns to the bath house as an employee?

YES PLZ!!! I'd pretty much pay to read about that. :D

When I was writing my review I was sort of thinking to myself, are there people who haven't seen the film? If there are, then your fic does the world a great service by enticing people to see it.

I'm glad I got the chance to read and review it, and doubly glad that that meant I had to watch the movie again, because that made for a really enjoyable evening-first watching the film and then reading your fic!

You have no idea how wow that review of Discordant is, Chi. I am stunned here. And now quite terrified that the sequel isn't going to live up to the first bit, and okay, panicking now.

Like I said, it's a challenging story. In the best way possible. I love these characters, and always want them to be perfect and happy, and here none of them were. But there is so much love and honesty in the story, that I couldn't stop reading. And that led to all kinds of thinky thoughts. And that, to me, is the sign of a very good piece of writing.

You're welcome! It's always fun to discover a new fic. Although I have much love for Nine and for the first series, I don't read a lot of Nine fic for whatever reason. So it was doubly good to read this story.
