I'm not the kind of guy that would ever consider commenting on how cute a kid is, so I'm not really speaking from experience, but, I'd have to think that people would be at least a little wary with the way they phrase talking about how a toddler looks. Most of the people I know with kids (and even quite a few without) are quick to jump into OMGPEDOPHILE!!!!!1! mode, so I'd imagine that there are people who would want to say they think your kid is cute, but would worry about comparing her to someone who makes a living on sex appeal.
