Why don't people care that I care about them?

I look out for people. I cry for them. I check up on them. Does the fact that them doing drugs hurts me matter to them? Of course not. I'm tired of being the mother figure to everyone. Let them fuck up their lives. Let them get sent to jail... I love them. And they're supposed to love vme too. So why don't they care that they've been hurting me?
