Making Apple Cider

So I found a place to dumpster Odwalla juice, most of it expires within 5 days when they throw it in there. I had this grand idea of making apple cider.

Can this be done?

I'm appreciating the Odwalla haul at my house.

You can absolutely make hard cider - just Google it for instructions. Odwalla-specific concerns would be proper fermentation, since the juice has been pasteurized (i.e. add yeast), and taste, since cider apples are usually very tart.

I was actually thinking of being able to have hard cider on hand when the economy collapses.

You need to have enough prepared so that you don't know the economy has collapsed. Also, barricades for your home.
