This is a link that a friend sent me this morning. It's the new style in prom dress, apparently, and from what I hear, there's some issue with it in the media. Perhaps it's too "inappropriate," or something like that

And that dress comes pretty close to some indecent exposure laws, I think--especially since the targeted wearer is a minor.

I think all the other points are made above--somebody's selling the thing to a sixteen year old who might maybe fill it out right if she's unusual, who's only buying it because she's unsure about herself in the first place, and then she'll be thought of by her peers (and probably anyone else who sees her) as ... well, something other than what she probably had in mind... well, it doesn't seem like that dress is really a good idea.
