GAME ENTRY 8 // "THE PLAY'S THE THING" // DEC 10 - 16, 2007

Dec 09, 2015 08:47

Anthony Clark has passed one test with flying colors, the Sadie Hawkins Dance having proved a roaring success, but there's still one more big occasion to oversee before the school closes down for Christmas break: the school production of Romeo and Juliet.  Will all the hard work the cast and crew have invested in this year's play pay off or will something go horribly wrong?

Meanwhile, Jack Nero has got it in mind to pay an imprumptu visit to Todd Helper’s house. Will this bring about an end of Stu Appleman’s reign of terror or will it result in another terrible murder? One can't help but suspect that, in Cougar Ridge, there'll be twists and turns aplenty yet to come...

And finally, after a silent week from poor Sheriff Barty during which his stress levels heve been climbing steadily to breaking point, he discovers something that may eventually tip him over the edge.  Scrawled on the side of Ollie’s garage is another message from the thief:

Information is what I want
Or this town I continue to haunt.

Tell the world the secrets you hold dear
and be prepared to cry a tear.

In the paper a column will be rent
And in there you can vent

And once everyone tells their private thoughts
This thief will be caught

So let the healing begin
Then you get your possessions back again

Josh stares long and hard at the message, promising himself that he'll apprehend the thief by the end of the week, no matter what.  But the question is: who misses their possessions enough to tell the entire Ridge their deepest secrets?  And if the townsfolk do play this wicked game, will the thief prove to be a person of integrity and keep his or her word?  Only one way to find out...
