So lets see, Doris left on Sunday, I had my lumpectomy Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday were lounging around the house in the morning and shopping in the afternoon... Thursday we went to the National Palace Museum and then went back down to Hsinchu, where Mom and I managed to buy me a last-minute pair of glasses lol. (We were like, "when's the earliest you can have them ready?" and I was expecting like a week while Mom was expecting about 3 days, and the lady was like "Well, tomorrow!" and we were like WHAT.) And then Friday I went with Mom to her job at ITRI and was semiproductive lol, and then afterwards we had dinner with elentiriel's mom in Zhubei at the best sushi restaurant I've ever been to. And it was only semi-fancy too! But oh man the variety and they didn't skimp on the fish and pile on the rice either. Saturday we lounged about in the morning and then went to Zhubei again to run some errands, buy stuff, and check out the hugest aquarium-and-bird-and-mammal pet store (there's a different huge one across the street but it's dogs and cats only), and then picked up Dad from NCTU (where he has meetings and yells at his Ph.D students on Saturdays). Sunday we went back up to Taipei and then Mom and Dad went to some fancy concert/party thing that Dr. RC+PC invited them to, and I spent that entire time shopping in Shimending. Found 2+ other anime/manga/merchandise stores! I had the one on the outer border of Shimending that has a shitton of manga, but then I found another smaller crappier one on the second floor somewhere within, and then I stumbled into this big mall/department store type building and the fourth floor (I think it was the fourth) was ENTIRELY devoted to figurines and merch and shit. Wooooo.

And then today Mom and I took an hour-long bus to the Taipei 101 area and bought tickets to see the new Transformers movie in "4DX" tomorrow (I keep thinking of the 4DX snaptest whenever I hear it lol, but apparently it's a new thing in movie theaters where you watch the movie in 3D and the seats shake and they spray water/mist on you in rainy/splashy bits and blow wind during the windy bits, etc.) and then we basically shopped till we dropped - or at least, until Mom dropped lol. And then we rode the bus 1.5 hours home, because it does a stupid loopy thing and putters around the Taipei 101 area for like half an hour before it actually continues on the rest of its route.

Tomorrow's my last full day in Taiwan; the plan is to go to the hospital to get my stitches out and get my medical records in the morning, and then go watch the Transformer's movie in the afternoon, and then ???? and then home. Leaving Wednesday morning. Can't believe it's already been an entire month... o_o;;
