I recently re-read the Pliocene books, and thoroughly enjoyed them.

I also enjoyed Intervention. And the first couple of books in the series - but the rebellion itself left me cold, and I've not made it back to the Milieu books. Should I try again?

I think Intervention and Jack the Bodiless are definitely worth re-reading, and probably Diamond Mask. Magnificat not really - I skipped through it, mostly to remind myself of the order things happened, and for the final scene between Denis and Rogi. And to see if I could work out whether the Giant Carbuncle was pure handwaving, or there was something I could connect it to in the rest of Milieu science. (I think it's pure handwaving, but I suppose it's at least properly foreshadowed handwaving.)

I haven't mentioned it before, but I'm really enjoying these posts - thank you.
