Yeah this is probably going to be a crazy sequence in which we finally find out what the deal is with the Truth. (Plus Pride and Father aren't likely to be where Ed, Al, and Izumi just got sent.)
But I still just can't shake the feeling of "Suddenly: Teleported to the final boss" kind of thing.
Right--Ed, Al, and Izumi are all "sacrifices" who have opened the gate through human transmutation. Mustang is marked to be a sacrifice, but he never actually opened the gate.
I've always considered it likely that Father needing sacrifices was related to the "Truth."
At least they didn't leave the ring behind. At least this way it feels like there's a chance Izumi will make it back. It's guaranteed for Ed and Al, but she doesn't have Protagonist Power.

I had to go read the chapter.
SEEING AS HOW it seems ED was also WHISKED AWAY I somehow doubt this is the end. I HOPE.

Having it be related to the 'Truth' would make a lot more sense.
