oh my...today i placed my last paper for this semester in my professor's mailbox at 8am.
it was beautiful(the paper and morning sun). [tangent]i played jazz music while driving through st.anthony park(i live in what is considered st.anthony park area, in the suburb of lauderdale, which is apart of ramsey county(aka st.paul)...but lauderdale is smaller than tosa in wisconsin...maybe 20blocks,and i'm actually closer to minneapolis downtown(10min);post pictures later as words cannot describe the small country town feel). i love that the twin-cities offers so many different areas..little canada, little somalia,st.anthony park, uptown, dinkytown, etc. if i want to be apart of the college scene i can take a 10min bus ride/5min by car over to dinkytown and chill in the heart of the campus surrounded by bars, clubs, bookstores, and places to eat.i could go to little somalia and have some real homecooked meals, i could go downtown and have some mean thai food and checkout the Gwags(hilarious site by the way). the only thing thats keeping me from making a commitment to the Twins is the amount of traveling i was not able to do because i was always in school. i really want to go back to Ethiopia, and maybe go to Djibouti and parts of Europe. i've also decided that i officially dislike winter, and i don't know if i can live in a state where it snows. [tangent]
i came back, ate some hotcakes, slipped into pjs and jumped into bed;where i read until i fell asleep. wow, reading...for pleasure(it was beautiful folks). now i'm going to download some music, make some mixed cds for my family(billy ocean for dad, dolly parton for mom,lil weezy/bob marley for brother, and a collection of ole school soul/funk/r&b/reggae for ma&pa to enjoy on sundays). i will clean my room slowly, but first i'm going to eat some indian food.
