Rape and abuse are not female only problems, but they are nurtured by a patriarchal and misogynist culture that belittles women and the experiences of those that deal with these issues. It's fostered in a culture that tells survivors that it's "not my problem" and they're just being too sensitive. It's nurtured in a culture that doesn't want to give up what it likes damn it to consider how their actions affect those around them.

I fucking love you. Ken Titus does, too. Well, as much as Ken Titus can love. :P

The complete unwillingness of people to listen to others or their insistence on purposely missing the damn point in this (like many discussions tbf) is sort of mind blowing. Even though I've been around long enough to KNOW FUCKING BETTER.

The cost of taking five fucking minutes to consider someone else and their experience really isn't very much. The gain from said sitting the fuck down and listening can be huge.
