She was awakened in the middle of the night again and let out a grunt of frustration as she rolled over and buried her face in her pillow. After all this time you'd think she'd gotten used to his noises at night but they still drove her to the brink when she was trying to sleep

The Doctor scowled at his machine as the rotary core fluid links began leaking mercury again. Really, he should've been using gloves or something, but he thought his machine might take his health into some consideration. No such luck, of course.

"Come on, old girl, you just need some fine tuning, get rid of that nasty squeaking noise during the time vortex."

"This old girl would like to get some sleep, you know." She groused slightly as she leaned against the console.

If the Doctor was surprised by her arrival, he didn't show it from his under-the-console-ness.

"Nonsense, Rose. You're not old."
