What wood is your set made out of?

its a basswood birch mix with a really thin bearing edge, its very vintage sounding a la 60's ludwigs. But since your playing blast beats and such mapex was definately the way to go. But for some reason ive never heard a well tuned mapex other than russ's.

Dude...it's so amazingly comfortable :)

...and quirky ;)(I'm going for a completely different feel on this kit as opposed to my monster I use for gigging).
