Pinky, are you pondering what I'm pondering?

have you ever looked back and realized you may have flocked up what could have been one of the most pivotal moments of your life? what is it with me that i only manage to realize the significance of things just one moment too late? Hello, McFly!! it kind of makes me rethink my entire stance on the issue of fate and providence. maybe there is no ( Read more... )

I dont' know sometimes. I sometimes question that aspect as well. I mean....I truely do think that God knows what paths we are going to choose. They may change what is going to happen to us, but somehow I can't get off my mind that he knows everything we have done, everything we do or think about, and everything we want to or are going to do. Yes, he is a guild, but I think he is a little more than a guild.

We have decisions and choice, but I think he helps us, in his little way or course, to make the choice that we choose to make at that point in time. I do believe in fate, but then there are all kinds of questions. Frankly, I would find it scary if I didn't have him as a guild, per say. I mean, to have all that...ummm...power. I don't know if I would want to handle that much responsibility. I think every now and then we need a push in the right direction, or in the wrong one, so we can learn from that and make a right one the next time. It is all what you make of it. But this is only my opinion.

Im sorry but I would have to disagree slightly. Which is totally my personality. I can't honestly believe that god has complete control over my life. I mean if that were true and he was watching me he would be so freakin bored. Why make something and control it like a robot? Whats the fun in that? Whats so interesting? Thats almost saying that God is this guy with the hugest
ego trip in the whole universe. God made me to be rebellious. For all of us to constantly want our freedom. We might as well be dead if God knows the paths we are going to choose. Seriously you got to have some point in living.

That's a very good thing to ponder. We don't know what is going to happen in the future, so we have to make choices. Whether those choices have been predetermined or not, we won't know until we get to Heaven and can ask God ourselves. But we do use the knowledge we have been given to at least influence our decisions. I think it was in my psych class that we were discussing this. (Good 'ol Dr. Peterson! She's a smart woman.) Each of us uses our values and morals to make decisions, but at the same time, our personality traits also cause us to make certain types of decisions. It's all very confusing.

I agree with you about not wanting to be in the driver's seat. I don't want that kind of power.

I've been praying for Denae. Let me know how she's doing.
