My kindergarteners graduated on Tuesday. The graduation ceremony was wonderful. The kids acted out a little poem play that the lead teacher and I wrote about caterpillars turning into butterflies, since their classroom in the school is called the Caterpillar classroom. Dude seriously, I can't focus on my writing right now. Geez.

Today I played my first real rock show. Meaning, the audience was dancing, moshing, and generally just so into the music. Some watched closely, rocking along silently, while some were pushing others, hopping on stage trying to touch my guitar or give me a hug. It was magical and crazy. Playing to a crowd of 3-year-olds was amazing.

3.38 and an Eye has a show on Saturday, May 6th at a benefit event for the teens at St. Mary's in Corvallis for a mission trip. We're stoked to be playing at it again. Here are the details ( Read more... )

I'm back from the future.

This weekend's actually been really good. Instead of the typical stay at home weekend, I actually went out on Friday night, Saturday night, and hung out with friends today. How atypical for Mike, but wonderful. Yay.

Last night was magical.

Welp, it's the last day of spring break. I am very sad to say that. Days like this always reminds me of the Sunday when my brothers and I tried to play with all our action figures but had to clean up once we started the episode because it was late.
